Can I just say that it was really tempting to head down to Fillmore and Sacramento last weekend to check out the new Marc by Marc Jacobs store? Oh yeah, and Bay Bread Boulangerie. Honestly though, I think it's quite possible for me to spend more at the bakery than at Marc Jacobs!

it's here?! it's open?! i'm there, i'm there!!! is there anything at the boutique/store that isn't at department stores? he is the one designer whose clothes I know will fit me without a second thought! and whose clothes i love.
Hee! Somehow,Ii'm picturing Ziggy/Scarlet bouncing up and down. It's here, and it's open. The store does carry more stuff than the department stores. In addition to clothing, shoes and accessories in the LA store, they also carry coffee table books, CDs, and a bunch of junk/trinkets that are fun - keychains, pens, baubles... I hear they even have swim caps! They cost anywhere from $1-$30. I probably won't go for a while :(. parking is a real bitch in that neighborhood. Let me know if you go, and definitely check out Bay Bread Boulangerie on Pine and Fillmore. Get some canneles. And some macarons. And a St. Honore cake. And...
Oh silly me--I did NOT check for your comment here before I headed off to the store today (I was working in the City, so I decided to take a noontime foray to the store).
It is truly awesome to behold. And though i was starving (I skipped lunch to go there), I didn't go to Bay Bread Boulangerie (and didn't know about it til now). Next time!!!!!
I ran into a wonderful salesperson there by the name of Louis, who took such good care of me! He just said, "let me just go grab whatever I think will look good on you..." and hustled for an hour and a half while I tried on outfit after outfit. I ahem, took home at least 1/3 of his suggestions...ahem.
I am set for clothes for awhile!
btw, I took a cab from work to the store. MUCH better than driving and trying to find a parking spot!
